These Terms of Service ("Terms") constitute a legally binding agreement between you ("User", "you") and Scholars Academie, operated by Ace Apolonio (Business Registration No. 487-04-03594, Seoul, South Korea) ("we", "us", "our"). By accessing our website at scholarsacademie.com or using any of our mentorship services, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not access or use our services.

1. Description of Services

Scholars Academie provides scholarship mentorship services to help applicants prepare competitive applications for programs including the Global Korea Scholarship (GKS/KGSP) and Erasmus Mundus Joint Master (EMJM), among others. Our services include but are not limited to:

• Document review and feedback (Study Plans, Personal Statements, Motivation Letters)
• One-on-one mentorship sessions with verified scholarship awardees
• Application strategy coaching
• Interview preparation guidance
• Access to educational content and scholarship resources

2. Free Trial and Subscription

We offer a free 7-day trial period for new users. During the trial, you will have access to our mentorship services at no charge. At the end of the trial period, continued access requires enrollment in a paid subscription plan.

No credit card is required to begin your free trial. Pricing for paid plans will be clearly communicated before any charge is applied. You may cancel at any time during the free trial without any obligation.

3. Payment Policy

Our mentorship is free for the first 7 days. You are under no obligation to pay during the trial period. If you choose to continue after the trial, you will be presented with a paid plan. Payment is only required if you voluntarily opt into a paid subscription after evaluating the service. All prices are listed in US dollars (USD) unless otherwise stated. Payment is processed through secure third-party payment processors.

No Refund Policy: All payments made after the free trial period are final and non-refundable. Because our services are delivered digitally and mentorship begins immediately upon enrollment, we do not offer refunds once a paid plan has commenced. By completing payment, you acknowledge and agree to this no-refund policy. If you are an EU/EEA consumer, you explicitly waive your right of withdrawal under the Consumer Rights Directive upon commencement of service delivery. We encourage all users to take full advantage of the free 7-day trial before subscribing.

4. No Guarantee of Scholarship Award

Scholars Academie does not guarantee scholarship awards. Our services are designed to strengthen your application and improve your chances of success, but final decisions are made solely by the respective scholarship committees. Scholarship outcomes depend on many factors outside our control, including your academic qualifications, competition among applicants, country quotas, and the discretion of review panels. By using our services, you acknowledge and accept this limitation.

5. User Responsibilities

By using our services, you agree to:

• Provide accurate, truthful, and complete information at all times
• Take full responsibility for the content of your scholarship applications
• Not misrepresent your qualifications, achievements, or intentions to any scholarship committee
• Not share, distribute, or resell any proprietary materials, templates, or feedback provided by Scholars Academie without written consent
• Treat mentors and staff with respect and professionalism
• Not use our services for any unlawful purpose

Any fraudulent, dishonest, or unethical submission to a scholarship body is solely your responsibility. Scholars Academie assumes no liability for consequences arising from misrepresentation by the applicant.

6. Intellectual Property

All content on this website — including but not limited to text, blog articles, graphics, logos, templates, frameworks, and educational materials — is the property of Scholars Academie and is protected by applicable copyright and intellectual property laws.

You may not reproduce, copy, distribute, republish, or sell any of our content without prior written permission. Personal, non-commercial use for your own scholarship application is permitted. Any feedback or reviewed documents provided by our mentors remain confidential and may not be shared publicly without consent.

7. Confidentiality

Our mentors and staff treat all applicant documents and personal information with strict confidentiality. We will not share your application materials, feedback, or personal details with any third party except as described in our Privacy Policy or as required by law. Likewise, we ask that users respect the confidentiality of any proprietary methods, feedback, or materials shared with them during the mentorship process.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

Our services are provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. Scholars Academie makes no warranties, express or implied, regarding the accuracy, completeness, or suitability of our content or services for any particular purpose. We do not warrant that our website will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses or other harmful components.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Scholars Academie and its mentors, staff, and affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages arising out of or related to your use of our services, including but not limited to loss of scholarship opportunities, loss of data, or loss of income. Our total cumulative liability to you for any claims under these Terms shall not exceed the total amount you paid to Scholars Academie in the 3 months preceding the claim.

10. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to our services at any time, with or without notice, if we determine that you have violated these Terms or engaged in conduct harmful to other users, our mentors, or our business. You may also terminate your use of our services at any time by ceasing to use the platform and canceling any active subscriptions.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Your continued use of our services after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms. We encourage you to review this page periodically.

12. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Korea, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising out of or related to these Terms or our services shall first be attempted to be resolved through good-faith negotiation. If unresolved, disputes shall be submitted to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Seoul, South Korea.
